Rothburn 564 Electric Sauna Heater, 6 kW

Built for a forest plot where the nearest neighbour is out of sight, Rothburn 564 takes 20 kg of sauna stones, which is what turns dry heat into löyly when water hits them.

Fitted by a competent electrician or, for wood-fired models, to the flue clearances in the manual — this is not a DIY wiring job.

It is stainless steel: stainless steel, the only sensible choice for something that sits at heater temperature for years. Ten seasons outside leave the door seal tired long before the timber gives up.

Specification

• Type: Electric Sauna Heater, 6 kW
• Material: Stainless Steel
• Dimensions: 35 × 30 × 50 cm
• Output: 6 kW, for up to 6 m³
• Weight: 24.18 kg

Care

Empty and re-stack the stones once a year — cracked stones lose their ability to hold heat evenly. Have wood-fired flues swept the same as any solid-fuel appliance.
